                        About UsEvery year, the ART&TUR - International Tourism Film Festival shows the best images of the world in Barcelos, a wonderful city in the North of Portugal This is a project promoted by APTUR (Portuguese Tourismology Association), with the high patronage of the Municipality of Barcelos. The ART&TUR Festival is member of CIFFT – International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals, a worldwide network of 12 international film festivals, which organizes every year the Festival of Festivals, in Vienna. The 1st edition, held in September 2008, was a great success. In 2009, the 2nd edition of ART&TUR, the public was surprised by the high quality of the film exhibitions and the diversity of countries (168 films from 38 countries) as well as by the richness and variety of cultural events: photo exhibitions, conferences, tourism book fair, dance and music performances and taste of typical dishes. The success achieved in the previous editions led the municipality of Barcelos to bet on ART&TUR in the long term. Over the next 10 years, this festival will be the prime event for international promotion of Barcelos. Dates of festival: from 23th to 26th September 2010.
